Unpacking Generational Myths: What Leaders Should Focus On

Back in June, our Founder, Sara Duxbury, was invited to facilitate a workshop at Legal Geek Growth on the topic of generational differences.

We often hear about “generational clashes” at work. Interestingly, recent research from the Journal of Organizational Behavior (Costanza et al., 2023) suggests that differences in values across age groups are far smaller than we think. In fact, a meta-analysis by Rudolph & Zacher (2020) found that most so-called generational differences disappear once you account for career stage.

What really matters is how leaders create environments where individuals feel recognised and supported.
